TOP BC Executive Leadership Application

The Executive Committee

​The Executive Committee is made up of Transition and Orientation Professionals from various member institutions across the province. The Executive Committee plays a critical role in coordinating the activities of the TOP BC group, and ensuring that the best possible service is provided to our members.  The executive is comprised of volunteer positions.

Time Commitment

A one-year term is expected from all those who join the executive, and we welcome everyone to stay longer!​ Meetings are held bi-monthly with more frequent meetings leading up to annual events (Drive-In/Zoom-Ins). Some roles have more time required on a monthly basis based on duties.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

 

Chair

  • Set meeting dates and agenda

  • Take meeting action items and ensure follow-through

  • Monitor TOPBC email account weekly
    Expect 1-2hours extra hours per/month

Executive Members

  • Provides strategic planning and direction 

  • Develops and implements initiatives identified by members 

  • Work collaboratively with the Chair and Coordinators to guide the organization


 

Membership Engagement Coordinator

  • Understand membership needs and work on platforms and materials that will address those needs

  • Manage membership including list, fees, and structure


 

Events Coordinator

  • Be the driving force in organizing the Drive-ins or Zoom-ins

  • Liaise with host institutions and the Executive team
    Expect more required hours during the months with TOP BC Events

 

Marketing Coordinator

  • Manage the TOPBC website and ensure information is relevant and up-to-date

  • Send email updates to the membership when needed

  • Create monthly social media engagement
    Expect  at least 1 hr/week to maintain and plan social media
